About Us

Saunggauk, Online Academy of the Burmese Harp, is an educational platform offering both online and in-person courses dedicated to the study and preservation of the Saung Gauk, Burmese traditional harp.

Our mission is to make saung gauk education accessible to students from diverse backgrounds while preserving the depth, discipline, and beauty of Burmese classical music. Through a structured and progressive curriculum, we support learners from beginner to advanced levels.

At Saunggauk Academy, students learn through a balanced approach that includes guided instruction, technical exercises, and repertoire-based study. From foundational skills such as posture and hand positioning to the performance of classical pieces, each course is designed to ensure steady and meaningful progress.

We are committed not only to teaching technique, but also to nurturing a deeper understanding and appreciation of Burmese musical heritage. Our academy aims to build a supportive learning environment where students can grow both artistically and culturally.

Whether you are learning for personal interest, cultural connection, or professional development, Saunggauk Academy welcomes you to begin your journey with the saung gauk.
